Adoption Agency Ratings

This agency was extremely caring to me as a birthmother. They WERE not in the least bit pushy or intimidating. They allowed me to make my own decisions and made sure I knew I could change my mind at any time. I am so happy to have been able to work with them, and made friends with other mothers, one who had placed with them before.

This agency is very pushy with birthparents, and extreemly uncaring. They have no compassion and are very unprofessional. i would not reccomend them to anyone, they need to be closed down. All they care about it money, they made me so uncomfortable and scared. Dont go there, beware!!

I was 18 when I became pregnant with my first child. I was living in California and really did not live a very stable life. Being adopted myself, my parents talked with me about the beauty of adoption for the baby. At the time I honestly had no idea how I would raise a child in my situation. I contacted the Adoption center of choice sicne my mom lived in UT as well. They flew me out, put me up in an apartment, had activities for us, counseling and groups. I made alot of great friends and had great suport from the staff. I chose a family but also started to really have a hard time as it got closer to my due date. I made it clear to everyone that if I had a way to parent my baby I was going to do it. When the day that my beautiful daughter was born came, my mom came as well for the delivery. After she was born my mom had a long talk with me and offered to help me raise my daughter to begin with. It honestly saved my life and was the best thing in my situation after all. However, when I told my counselor she was very supportive. She wanted to make sure I had thought it through and when I assured her I did, she supported me. They did not pressure me or use scare tactics at all. Some of the staff even came to the apartment when I was moving out to wish me luck and see my baby. They really are the center of CHOICE and never once pressured me to relinquish or made me feel guilty for not being able to do it.

I have adopted once before and I am currently looking to adopt again. I have looked into the Adoption Center of Choice and found their staff very friendly. The Owner has adopted 5 children of his own and I find he has a lot of passion for my family and the natural mothers. I am still looking into them but feel they might be the one. I will post to let you know how it works out.
