AAC Adoption & Family Network Hot
Unethical & Unprofessional...
The owner of the agency kicked us out since he did not like a question that I asked the agency. Its now two months and AAC Adoption is refusing to return our files and our monies.
AAC is Wonderful!
We used AAC when we adopted our beautiful daughter from China last year. We were brand new to the process, and they walked us through every step. We appreciated the quick return of phone calls and emails. We appreciated the extra steps that AAC takes to help the families in process. We appreciated the in-China reps and their help while we were traveling. And now that we are home, we love AAC's family events during the year. The staff is always so happy to see our daughter, and it is clear that they care very much about their families. AAC is our agency, and we will use them again when we begin our next adoption. Five stars!
This was our second adoption from China, but our first through AAC. They were so wonderful and helpful throughout the entire process! So much better than the agency we used the first go around! They made the process so much easier and really helped to relieve a lot of the stress that goes along with International Adoption. We've been home 6 months now and Erin still checks in on us to see how we're doing! It really feels like extended family! I can't say enough good things about them and I highly recommend this agency!
Absolutely AMAZING Agency!
My husband and I started the adoption process with a different agency. There were many bumps in the road during our process, many caused by the original agency that we were with. After a long wait with our original agency, I learned of a child that was available through AAC. I inquired about the child, and about what we would need to do to be matched with him. We were open to switching agencies to be matched. AAC was very organized and led us through the process of switching. Switching agencies had been the easiest part of our adoption up to that point, primarily due to AAC and how helpful they are. They explained everything that we needed to do, and took a stressful time and made it a breeze. Since switching agencies, and being matched with our son, we have not had any bumps in the road like we did with the first agency that we were with. I am still in disbelief about the difference in the two agencies that we have worked with. After experiencing both, I can clearly see what makes a good agency, and what doesn't! The whole process since switching agencies has been easy, stress free, and we have been able to enjoy this part of the process.
AAC is prompt in responding to emails. They answer all of the questions that we have, and even give us the answers to questions that we didn't even think to ask. I can tell by my interactions with AAC that they don't just go to work because it is their job. They go because they have a true passion for children, and the families wanting to adopt them. They go above and beyond for the families that they are working with. When we adopt again, we will definietly be working with them!
We haven't quite completed our adoption process, but are getting close to traveling. AAC has been very helpful every step of the way - especially Erin. She has answered every question and talked me through every concern. I used this agency because they were highly recommended and I am glad I did.
My husband and I are adopting our first little one from China. It has been wonderful working with Erin at AAC. She is efficient and also very nice to work with. Their fees are less than other agencies we have seen. AAC has helped me fill out all of the confusing questions on the forms, and has been such a blessing to work with! Since this is our first adoption -I have a lot of questions-and Erin has been right there to answer each one. We have even given a friend of ours some of AAC's helpful paperwork when their agency didn't know how to fill out one of the forms!
It also feels like Erin & AAC really care about and love these children. It is a very nice, comfortable organization to work with. :)
Great so far!
This is our 3rd China adoption and AAC is our 3rd agency to use. We chose them this time before they are a smaller agency and they had designated partnership lists. Their fees are lower than others and they do a lot of the paperwork for you which I have never experienced with our other 2 agencies. They are willing to answer and all questions via phone and email. They have kept us in the loop every step of the way. I feel like they care about the families and about getting children matched with the right family.
We are hoping to travel soon and then I will be able to report back on the China trip itself, but so far everything has been great.
We are using this agency to adopt our little girl from China--we are getting ready to travel soon, so it's not quite complete yet. So far, they are very professional, they know a lot about China and how the process works, they answer my questions very quickly, they are so patient when I was anxious about things, and they are genuinely nice people. This is our first IA, so I don't have anyone to compare them with, but we will use this agency without hesitation if we choose to adopt again. I will post an update (if possible) when we return.
5 stars take a lot from me and we aren't finishes with our adoptions yet.....but they are close. :)
Agency has helped transfer kids from another agency for us. Always polite to us. Didnt show irritation that I called constantly about our LOA hold up, does all the paperwork (dossier collection and I 800) or as little as possble.....depending on your choice.
Quick response to request for locking file helped us get our other child.
We aren't done with our adoptions yet and there were stressful times in the LOA wait (like for anyone)........but so far we have been very pleased.
They could use (and are working on) more partnerships to help referrals go faster now that the shared list ia smaller.....but beyond that I've seen nothing wrong.
I also wish their partnerships offered more older children, but maybe the new ones will.
This is our 3rd/4th IA and our 3rd agency for this country. They are good. In my opinion.
