This agency is outdated, understaffed, and has zero counseling in place for moms thinking of placing then those who do. Ardie's idea of an open adoption is telling you the adoptive parents will send a letter with 1 picture once a year through her then she will send to you. If there is an issue with the adoptive parents she won't help. If you contact her to talk about placing your child she will not counsel you on any other options. She will meet with you once in your home then send you 2-3 profiles to look at for potential adoptive parents. I placed through her in 2000 and had no idea there was any other way for adoptions to be besides what she told me. She gave me no outside sources, no help to parent if I had chosen to, did not explain what real open adoption was nor even tell me it was a choice through other agencies. I would not send anyone to her that was thinking of placing. She's a nice person outside of adoption. But completely out of touch with the real adoption world.
