I was very happy and impressed with AGCI. I adopted my baby from Ethiopia and found AGCI to be very informed, professional, and ethical throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend AGCI to anyone interested in adopting.
AGCI's Guatemalan orphanage director, and/or AGCI's Guatemalan employees, have recently been brought to court on charges stemming from allegations of illegal adoptions in Guatemala. The allegations surround the cases of 25 children that AGCI housed at their hogar Hannah's Hope who Guatemalan prosecutors are claiming were stolen. The court date was April 21. While AGCI may look great on paper and online, please do INTENSE research in the countries where AGCI *used to operate* before committing to this agency for another country.
When we began our first international adoption, we were faced with a daunting task: choosing an agency. After a great deal of prayer, research, speaking with other adoptive families with various agencies, and meeting agency staff in person, we selected AGCI. We are so thankful that we did. AGCI was helpful through all of the highs and lows of the process. Most importantly, we witnessed first-hand AGCI’s faithfulness and diligence in maintaining an outstanding ethical adoption program. We will not hesitate to work with AGCI again when it is time to welcome our next child home.
We adopted twice from AGCI. Heather, Hollen and the team love the kids and the adoptive families. They did everything they could to make our adoption go well despite bumps in the road from government officials. Both our adoptions are God stories, but we could not have done it without them.
AGCI is a great agency to work with. They have the highest of moral ethics and the people are caring, honest and straightforward.We had a wonderful experience with them and would use them again in a heartbeat.
