Dillon International was a blessing to our family. We adopted from Vietnam and were one of the first families to expereince the DNA requirments of 2008. Dillon held our hand though the whole process. They answered every question to the best of their ability. When they did not know an answer they were honest to tell us that. They worked with us to help us leave very shortly after we got permission to travel. The in country staff was just as impressive. Dillon provides excellent culture camps each summer which our family has truly enjoyed. I hope to work with them again and would highly recommend them to anyone as a trustworthy agency.
We adopted from Dillon nearly two years ago through their China program. We found the staff to be excellent and would reccomend the agency to anyone. However, what we have really enjoyed about Dillon has been the two years since our adoption. They continue to show interest in us as a family. We live in the same town as the agency, and it is not uncommon to see Dillon staff at or local Families with Children from China events just to see how we and other adoptive families are doing and to catch up with us. Also we choose Dillon for our adoption because of the cultural summer camps and other post-adoption programs they offer. I guess what I am trying to say is that Dillon has never treated us as a number and a paycheck. The staff has and continues to truly be interested in the welfare of the children they place.
We were very pleased with our adoption through Dillon. We were one of the first families to adopt through their Vietnam program. While it was very new to the staff, they did an excellent job of communicating with us. Unfortunately (like with any adoption) the news wasn't always what we wanted to hear. But they set very realistic expectations. Their staff is excellent - especially Jynger Roberts (the Vietnam program director). Their fees seem to be in line with other agencies that we researched. Overall, I would recommend Dillon to others!
I have nothing but deep gratitude and appreciation for Dillon Int. and the staff. I'm surprised and saddened to hear that someone was displeased with them. We adopted a beautiful daughter from Vietnam and felt like they held our hand throughout the entire process. I also know that the USA Embassy has nothing but highest praise for Dillon's ethics. Paperwork is always in order and the agency goes the extra mile to make sure that everything is on the up and up.
We adopted our daughter from China thru Dillon in 2006 and we are currently utilizing Dillons services again to adopt our son from Vietnam. I would definitely recommend Dillon to other families considering adoption.
We found Dillon to be a very professional and caring agency to work with. We were part of their Vietnam program and one of the early families to travel after Vietnam re-opened. This particular program was evolving during our process so there were many unknowns and obstacles but the Dillon staff (both in the U.S. and Vietnam) were vigilant in providing timely and accurate as possible information. They show the utmost respect for the country and culture they work with as well as provide as much professional and emotional support that is needed by adoptive parents (which also extends beyond the adoption process). Adoption is an arduous process regardless of the agency (we used another agency for our first adoption) and we appreciated the personal / family touch provided by Dillon.
I piloted their program to Vietnam in 2002 and went back with them to adopt from Vietnam again in 2006. Always ethical and professional, i was highly recommend them to anyone. The Dillons are wonderful people and care about the children of the world!
My experience was very positive. I was always able to communicate with someone when I wanted, my caseworker was warm, kind, sincere and always honest. I spoke with her all the time, any and all questions were answered promptly and she was always realistic with me. In fact, my husband and I felt like she had become a close friend of ours. I am very surprised that another poster here had a bad experience.
We are adopting a waiting child and the staff have been very good at filling us in with his past as well as keeping us updated. We hope to travel this year.
It was impossible getting accurate information about our case. Very unprofessional in dealing with clients. I absolutely would not recommend this agency to anyone.
Dillon International was SUPERB. We recently adopted from Vietnam, and were very pleased with the staff both in the U.S. and in Vietnam. They were kind, professional, available for emergencies, and we, too, heard from th U.S. government officials how ethical and efficient Dillon is. I'm impressed with the fact that both adoptive parents and government officials (both sides of things) are complimentary of Dillon. I would DEFINITELY recommend Dillon to ANYONE looking to adopt.
