Wonderful Agency!

5

My husband and I just adopted our little girl from Kazakhstan this year through LMI. I have to say that we had an excellent experience with LMI. They are a wonderful agency with very helpful and caring coordinators. Our whole experience and journey went smoothly. They were always there to help and answer any questions that we had. They were always upfront and honest through the whole adoption. Also the staff they have in country were extremely helpful! I would recommend this agency to anyone wanting to adopt internationally. They really help you through the whole adoption experience. They are a wonderful agency!

2 Stellar Adoptions with Little Miracles

We used Little Miracles twice for Kazakhstan adoptions. Our first was in 2003 and our second was this past year. Our children are thriving, and we felt grateful to have such a well-regarded agency in Kaz. We ran into so many people who were sorry they didn't use this agency.

We didn't just get support from LMI during the paperchase, we got emotional support during both adoptions. I advise everyone to work with an agency that prepares families for the travel and adoption process...it made the difference all around.

I appreciated the honesty on all fronts from this agency. It is a difficult process, and I believe we were BLESSED to work with folks who were so committed to us.

A Total Blessing!

My personal journey to my daughter was nothing less than a miracle. From my intial agency research up until I brought my daughter home, my coordinator at LMI was amazing! I truly appreciated the constant communication and the hand holding throughout my journey, as a single parent, the additional support was an emotional lifesaver! I chose to adopt through Little Miracle's Kazakhstan Program. I started my adoption in March of 2007 and brought home my own little miracle in February of 2008.

Prior to committing to the emotional journey of international adoption, I spent hundreds of hours reading and researching agencies and programs. When I settled on Kazakhstan, I took a leap of faith and chose to travel blind, something totally outside of my comfort zone. Although I did have some fear, ultimately I had a lot of peace in the fact that I knew that my agency was going to take care of me, and that they did. I spent 2 months in country on my own and felt completely taken care of by LMI's in-country team. My selection process, although emotional, turned out beyond my wildest hopes.

In just 11 short months, I have witnessed my daughter grow leaps and bounds. Today, at 20 months, she is the most energetic, independant, hallarious, intelligent little ball of personality that I have ever met. No kidding, she probably can say over 100 words, counts to 5, forms 3 word sentences, and runs around the house as if she has been walking her entire life. I am blessed and have LMI to thank a million times over for my own little miracle.

LMI gets the job done!

We adopted from Kazakhstan in 2006 and are in the midst of our second adoption from Kaz with LMI. Both times we have been treated honestly and fairly. They are not ones to sugarcoat the complexities and potential pitfalls of an adoption. Our entire process from start to finish for our first adoption was just under one year and our coordinator was prompt to return emails and phone calls and kept us updated with major milestones in our case throughout. The people in Kazakhstan were excellent and we had a fantastic trip. We realized we picked the right agency after meeting several families who were having troubles while in Kazakhstan. It is very important to go with an agency with connections, and Little Miracles definitely has them!

We also were pleased that the fees LMI quoted were exactly what we paid. We even came home with a little (very little :) money left over. We had heard from families with other agencies who had to cough up a few thousand extra dollars while in Kazakhstan and were worried about that, but we had no surprises while in country.

This time around we are having a great experience as well, although the updates are less frequent and the timeline is longer. Our coordinator is upfront about the changes taking place in Kazakhstan so we are trying to just be patient. We can't wait to get back to Kazakhstan!

We used LMI for the adoption of our son from Guatemala several years ago. He was 3 months old at the time of referral and came home when he was 19 months old. We hit snag after snag with this agency and were repeatedly told lies about what was going on with our case. Our adoption was placed in PGN investigation twice and the attorneys they use were under investigation also. I've seen several of them on banned lists and list of attorneys not to use. We could never get honest answers about what was going on with our case. They threatened us on several occasions, both the agency and the attorney. I cannot recommend this agency to anyone. The only thing I'm grateful for is that we finally got our son home.

We never came home with a baby!

We were clients of Little Miracles in TX for over 2 years. We were close to traveling to meet our referral, but she was presented to another family instead. We waited 6 long months for another referral to come our way....but nothing happened. One day we received a phone call from our LMI coordinator telling us that the Kazakhstan Govt. took ownership of our dossier and Little Miracles was no longer in control of our paperwork. Needless to say, we could see the writing on the wall - they couldn't find us a baby & so we think, they gave up on us!!! They never found our baby, but they did find all of the checks we sent to them for one fee or another or to accept the referral we lost. The last letter we received from their lawyers stated that we are not entitled to our money back AND they do not want us sharing our story with prospective adoptive parents - their clients could lose business. We are still trying to recoupe some of our financial losses, but we can never get back 2 years of wasted time with this agency! LMI told us one thing & gave us another - heartache!
