I didn't use them because they told me up front that "Russia" charges $2,000 more for girls than boys when in fact Russia does not charge for adoptions at all, it is their way to steer parents towards boys. No thanks, I don't care to be out and out lied to so I went elsewhere.
They told me the same thing, that Russia charges $2,000 more for girls because in Russian culture girls are more valued than boys! I think I'll go elsewhere.
We weren't told what you were, but they steered us very strongly toward boys. We did not have a good experience in having our concerns addressed regarding screening for FAS and other medical issues, but were pressed to continue with our paperwork as quickly as possible despite our concerns. We were taken aback with the experience because we had researched a number of agencies and EAC had a solid history with Russia adoptions, accreditation, etc. and initially we'd had a good welcome. We ended up feeling uncomfortable with how things turned in the process and discontinued going forward with this agency.
