Could anyone please tell more about letter from president? Do they actually ask people to post rave reviews on this site???? Their athics were always questionable.
We are currently in a process (or should I say nightmare) of adopting a child with Commonwealth. We are getting really close to filing a law suit aginst them. Maybe that's way we did not get any letters?
Yes, the President sent out letters to former clients asking to be board members, write nice reviews on websites, be a family mentor, and most of all send a hefty donation. I don't know where you are in the process, but you may want to cut your losses or you should try to weather the storm.
It is hard to let go, especially if you invest a significant amount of money. Go with your gut.
The letter said it was being sent to familes of completed adoptions. We were asked for donations, to post reviews, to apply for commissioned based marketing positions and to be mentor families (I think that was the phrasing used).
Yes what a joke. The letter says they are a NON-Profit organization and they are asking for donations and volunteer work! Please all they did was ask for more and more money. When we needed help and they just ignored our calls and emails. Our biggest mistake was choosing this agency. We were so caught up in the dream of having a family we never even considered they wanted all the money up front within 30 days of signing the contract. I just cant believe we actually never even questioned it. Well we got what we deserved, a 2 year nightmare that we had to fight tooth and nail to complete our adoption. After the final payment they had no reason to be interested in our case at all. They had all the money. Please dont make the same mistake we did.
