EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

5

We brought home our twins from Guatemala on July 7, 2005. Noah and Madison are our little Guatemalan Blessings!! Our experience was EXCELLENT from the time we contacted them all the way to the time we were welcomed home!! Raul in the Tampa office is very patient and answered all the questions that we had for him. Our case mananger, Susana Huaman, was down to Earth and kept us informed with all the information that was coming from Guatemala about our twins. Susana was never too busy to answer our questions and even checked-in with us to see how we were doing during the process. We can not say enough about how awesome the Tampa office staff was to us!!!After our adoption, Haley was wonderful with her communication with us too! Commonwealth does not stop communication with you after your child is home. We attend picnics and other special events that they provide for the families that have adopted. We look forward to these events to see other happy families that adopted with Commonwealth and thank Commonwealth for ALL they did to help us find our forever family!!

Funny you say they do not

Funny you say they do not stop communication after you get home and they hold picnics. We heard from them 2 times since we got home. Once for a post adoption visit which they get paid to come and do. The 2nd was a recent letter they sent out begging for donations and positive posts on the internet.

As for the picnic, they actually canceled those. You must not have read that information.

That post adoption is just

That post adoption is just to cash more money . In our case , because things went really bad , they not even call to remind us the post adoption visit . - May be because by that time our story was out in the public eye .

i agree

That is the only thing that we've gotten from them too. Since we've been home, November 2007, they just want something from us. They make it clear THEY DON'T CARE as long as they get their money.
I'm just thankful that we have our wonderful daughter from China and we're done with them.

Nightmare

I am really glad you had a happy ending to your story. But it was back in 2005. A lot of things changed since then. Now Commonwealth is different!!! Some of the great people they had back then are gone now. You are saying they do not stop communicating with you after child is home. They even DO NOT communicate with us during the process. It is so easy for our case manager to make a promise that she has no intentions to keep - it is sickening. You are doing big disservice to prospective parent by posting your positive review now about something that happened 3 years ago.
