Adoption Advantage
I am a birth mother and had a little boy 6 weeks ago. I have not heard anything from this company since, i was suppose to receive everything in my file and have not recieved that yet and havent been sussessful with getting my phone calls returned either. I am grateful for the people that i have found to adopt my baby, but i really can't say much for this company. I had a hard time to even meet with anyone in person to get my paperwork signed a month before the baby was born. I only live a little over 3 hours away from the agency.
The adoptive parents have not received their paperwork either. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN WENT TO COURT! And are not getting there phone calls returned either. It looks like the adoptive parents may have to get another lawyer to finalize this adoption. People shouldn't be able to get away with stuff like this. I am glad that i am secure in my decision, how scary would that be to have a child at home for a month and a half knowing the birth mother could still change her mind cause u can't get your adoption agency to pay 140 dollars to file with the court to finalize the adoption. ( Note: The adoptive parents have left messages saying they would be happy to pay for this again just to get this this tooken care of with no response.) Just something to think about if you are planning on using this agency for your adoption.

I really think that you can tell a lot about an angency by the followup care they give their birth mothers. You poor dear, I bet they paid all kinds of attention to you while you were pregnant, then once you delivered they dropped you off te face of the earth. That makes me so angry. This is not how reputable agencies operate! They are required to provide you with yours and the baby's paperwrok and are in violation of federal laws if they dont. There required to provide you post-placement followup care and counseling if you want it. If these fokes can't even take care of their birth mothers, how can we expect them to take care of us, the adopting parents?

First I would like to thank you for the choice that you made for all adoptive parents out there. I can only imagine the love that you have for your child to place him for adoption. My husband and I are adoptive parents signed with Adoption Advantage and lately we too have had little success getting any response to our e-mails or phone calls from anyone at the agency. Just yesterday we tried calling and got a recording stating that the line was unavailable. We have been signed and waiting for 18 months which is very frustrating when we can't get detailed updates.

Thanks for the response and the kind words. Yes i love that little boy with all my heart. He will always be apart of my life. I am just sorry that my comment on this web page didn't get to u in time. I really don't know all the details but this company is in serious trouble with multiple agencys. I wish you all the luck on your journey and will keep u in my prayers. I would definitly investigate this company future before you invest anymore of your time and money with them. Don't get discouraged everything happens for a reason.

Not surprised
Hi! We too are waiting adoptive parents and have been for almost 2 years. There are A LOT of things going on right now with the agency. Has anyone contacted you......i.e. the licensing unit? I would be willing to speak with you privately if you would like more information. It is not good used and we have started to look elsewhere as adopting from them does not seem to be an option.
