A Parent's Nightmare--Please Don't Use Them

1

We were told to disregard negative posts about this agency, and now are trying to prevent others from making the same mistake we did. Both adoptive and birth parents need and deserve honesty, compassion, and respect from the people helping them through the adoption process.Somewhere along the way, this agency has lost sight of these basic human needs, as the people at this agency provide anything but these qualities.

We hope and pray that there is another agency out there that can help us fulfill our dream of adoption. We are just starting to work with the regulators to help us recover from our losses with this agency, and want to warn others to avoid them lest your heart be broken too. Please send us a private message if you would like your voice to be heard with the regulators, are willing to provide character witness against them, or would simply like to learn of a few simple mistakes and pitfalls to avoid.

Truly, A Parent's Nightmare

We only wish we had read the other reviews before we used this agency. They are absolutely a nightmare. I can't believe they are still certified.

We also urge others to send us their experiences so this agency can be reported to the regulators. And, for the posting to which we are responding, we are happy to assist you.

Adopting Parent

We'll see what happens

At this point, the story of our failed adoption is with the regulators.  They now have all the information we have been unable to uncover regarding how much this agency appears to have misled us, disregarded the birthmother's advice, and tried to take a baby from a birthfather.  Their only defense so far has been, "it was the honest belief of A Child's Dream that the birth father would not actively oppose the proposed adoption."  This was after they had been told explicitly (both verbally and in writing from the birthmother) that the birthfather was opposed, and the birthfather had called to stop the adoption prior to the baby's birth.  They opted not to disclose any of this to us prior to placement of our precious angel who we lost 3 months later.

I am willing

I am more than willing to assist you in any way I can. My husband and I had the unfortunate run in with them 5 years ago with the placement of our oldest son. Our adoption went through, THANK GOD, but I understand that others have not been so lucky. Please feel free to contact me and I will assist you in anyway I can.
