We have since brought our healty beautiful baby girl home in November since my last review. I think the dates on these reviews are wrong. Anyway, I can still say, that we had a great experience with Adoption Partners. Luckily, we had a very smooth case (8 mos.) w/o any bumps along the way. Unfortunately, a lot of the problems that can arise during the adoption process, are most of the time out of the agencies hands. I feel bad for anyone that had a bad experience with Joanne move quickly to get them home! As another person wrote in their review, we will always hear more from the people who are unhappy then the people that had a positive experience. If you look at the big picture....... Joanne did hundreds of adoptions, so I think there must be quite a few of us out there...
To "Update from Anonymous - Joanne did hundreds of adoptions, so I think there must be quite a few of us out there..." You got this information from Joanne. She lied to you - she's done probably 1/4 (or less) of the number of adoptions she claims. Just look at her tax returns and you can tell how many adoptions she really has done -- or is she also lying to the IRS - I bet both!
Ok - so I adopted and used Joanne in 2005?? My little girl got home in less than 9 months - it was a pain I and I had Teo as my facilitator - I have been out of the loop - My social worker emailed the article and I saw that they were on dateline - so CATCH ME UP!!
I had to hire an attorney and fly down there without her knowledge but I got my baby home!
Well perhaps your smooth sailing can be attributed to "All eye's on Joanne" at the moment and probably from when you started. She knew then that she was in big trouble. She has some big teeth after her, she is unlawful and unethical and I believe she may end up in jail... then just maybe you "positive exoerience ones" will finally realize the magnatude of this whole deal..... then you can thank the Lord you made it out with child in hand.... hopefully a legitimate adoption!
To all that commented regarding my post,
We do feel blessed that things went really well for us. If it was because the "big teeth were after her", It was news to us. She was right on track with all medicals, video, pictures and responded to all of our emails in a timely manner. I guess we were one of the lucky ones. The agency that did our home study, new Joanne very well..... in fact, they did a lot of there accreditation classes together. They said that she did tons of successful adoptions. This agency is a very respectable one so I felt that the information they were telling me was accurate. So we chose Joanne due to Guatemala being the only country she dealt with. We felt that maybe the time frame would be shorter. We had a great attorney ( well respected over there) that did a great job on our behalf. Oops, I did fail to mention that there was one bump in the road and that was when our US Embassy couldn't locate our paperwork to get our pink slip so we got a I-72! Joanne helped us along the way and so did our Congressman! Who would have thought that the bump would have been on the US side?!!! Anyway, I do feel terrible for people that have had a terrible experience with her and hope that the one's still in process, will be able to bring there little ones home ASAP! Thank you for your comments and I wish you all nothing but the best.

That's another lie.
