We have just been contacted by UnitedAmerica Insurance Group regarding our identification by Project Oz "as having a potential claim...for its failure to provide services for which you paid." Does anybody know more about this? We heard rumors of a lawsuit but were never able to confirm it & would like to be in contact with other folks burned by this terrible agency.
I feel srongly that UnitedAmerica Insurance will dismiss our case out of hand unless we present a unified front with proper legal representation. If no one has started doing so, I would be please to put together a list of interested parties. We could then set up a conference call to pursue our options. I would suggest that the best plan of action would be to find an experienced adoption attorney willing to take the case as a class action on a coningency basis. I may know one in NJ. Our story is similar to many of those posted here. We received a letter from UnitedAmerica and intend to file a claim, but we're not very optimistic that it'll result in us getting any of our country fee refunded. We plan to speak to an attorney this week.
