A very unprofessional and over priced agency

1

This is an agency that continues to lie to its clients and yet shout they are a "Christian" organization operating in the best interest of children. This is simply not so as they lied to me about my adoptions and to several other families. They also over charge every family, are the most expensive agency in Liberia, are not a licensed agency in the states, and they try to force families to stay at their guest house for 1000 a week as a way to make more money off of them. Their rating is a 0 in my book.

Can I please respond a bit? I am not the one that you replied to, but thought I would respond anyways. You mentioned 2 things. First "don't you read" . Unfortunately, most people who have bad experiences with an adoption agency, simply melt away after the fact. There isn't much to read about. We tried to do our research. Truthfully, I don't think we knew what questions to ask and figured that asking questions directly of the organization would work. I did not take into account the fact that their answers could be lies. It is possibly because of angry replies like yours that it is hard to "come out" after having a bad experience with an agency. Second: Who are you to be lied to. . they work for the kids. Actually, they work for us. If not, why would they have a contract that has to be signed stating that there will be no refunds for any reason. That certainly doesn't help the kids. Who are we? clients. Clients mean money. Especially, if you are not only a client (adoptive parent) but also potential funder. The benefit? MORE MONEY. I am not getting carried away. I was lied to directly, by the director of the agency, for the purpose of me fundraising for them. Others were lied to about their cases / children. Why? To keep someone in the program (the new, no money back at all policy wasn't in place for many of us, so they did have something to lose).

Please don't be so harsh. You can ask for more information if you would like. We'd be happy to answer questions. This is a public forum so that others may know all sides of different ideas. No one has replied unkindly (that I read) about someone who said everything was great.
